Blizzard still manages to surprise. Team World of Warcraft quietly worked on his own version of the battle royale, which he launched with the release of a fresh patch. His name is Robbery and invites up to 60 players to explore a slightly modified map of the Arathi Highlands alone or with a friend, search for loot and become the last pirate or crew. Abilities, improvements and spells that serve as weapons here will help you with this.
Over time, the territory narrows, and other players and artificial intelligence are chasing you. You will earn for your efforts points, which you exchange for cosmetic items, including mounts and pets (including a parrot). Everything can then be used in World of Warcraft and Classic.
As a limited-time mode, Plunderstorm is separate from World of Warcraft and requires creating a new character. You don’t need any extensions, but a WoW subscription is required.
The community notes one interesting thing. Plunderstorm is very similar to the canceled Magic Battle Royale event Breaking Spells from Proletaria studio, which Blizzard bought in 2022 and renamed World of Warcraft.
