The authors of the fan-made Czech sci-fi role-playing game Starfield from Bethesda, released last September, published information on their website about the current state of translation. For the most part, these are non-dialogue parts, of which only the contents of books and computer terminals remain to be translated.
At the same time, the authors reported that they will soon begin to completely translate the dialogues themselves. An important event of the new year is the involvement of several transfer students from the Palacky University in Olomouc. During the transfer, they undergo mandatory school experience. Thanks to this, our translation will contain at least one hundred standard pages translated by future professional translators. Currently, just over 10% have been transferred. Of the non-dialogue texts, we more or less only have to translate the contents of books and computer terminals.
Our dictionary has grown to 1000+ entries and this is not all that it should be. In the next step, we will soon block the availability of the Creation Kit, that is, the official tools for creating modifications. Using this tool, you can display branching conversations and translate them in a meaningful way. If a Creation Kit release date is not provided by Bethesda soon, we will likely create our own dialogue viewer. You will learn about this in the next news.
