It is reported that Ubisoft is preparing a new part of the Ghost Recon series. Renowned journalist and leader Tom Henderson stated this in his article for Insider Gaming magazine. In addition to preparing for the game, Henderson also revealed some basic information. First of all, he must use a new part first person camera only, which would take the series back to its roots. In terms of gameplay, the game is described as a military-tactical action game with an emphasis on teamwork.
The developers are said to have been inspired in various ways by traditional mass shooters such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Battlefield, and in some areas by more tactical titles such as Squad or Ready or Not. Within the setting, the game has re-work a fictional military conflict in the so-called Naiman.
The new Ghost Recon, codenamed Project Over, should will be released in 2025 or 2026. The last time Ubisoft catered to fans of the series was in 2019, when the subtitled Breakpoint followed the relatively well-reviewed Ghost Recon: Wildlands.
