In recent days, cinemas around the world have been captivated by the film “Dune: Part Two,” which we have already managed to evaluate in the form of a full review. The authors of the upcoming game Dune: Awakening, officially presented in August 2022, are also trying to take advantage of the increased interest in the entire brand. Developers from the Norwegian studio Funcom, which last served players with the game Conan Exiles, first published a new trailer. Two minute demo presents footage straight from the game and attracts the capabilities of the Unreal Engine 5.2 used.
New trailer authors supplemented by a developer diary, which covers the game’s main characteristics, setting, and connections to the books and films. The second half of the diary is devoted to the technical side of the game, which should take advantage of the modern Unreal Engine and its technologies. Dune: Awakening is described by the developers themselves as an MMO survival game in a huge open world, taking players to the most dangerous planet in the entire galaxy. The game will be released on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, the date has not yet been specified.
