The authors of Immortals of Aveum do not give up. They are preparing other projects

“The story of the Immortals is not over yet. I was the creative director of Dead Space, and people were debunking it for years. I think Immortals will be the same,” he says in an interview with GamesIndustry. Bret Robbins boss Ascendant Studios.

Immortals of Aveuma they came out last August and practically failed in sales. The game, released under the EA Originals label, was not such a success that the team soon had to fire almost half of its employees. However, the developers are not giving up. There are other projects in development, at least one of them from the world of Immortals.

“There was a killer series of big games, and we’re a new studio, people didn’t know who we were. Questions arise as to whether our marketing is targeting the right audience. We just couldn’t get enough attention,” Robbins returns to the failure of the “magical first-person shooter.” We recently learned that the game is extremely expensive to develop, with a total cost of approximately $125 million, of which $40 million goes toward marketing.

“You learn more from failures and mistakes than from successes. People need to hear a variety of stories, not just about breakthrough hits, but also about failures,” adds the game director.
