Embracer Group’s financial troubles began in 2023 after a $2 billion deal fell through. She should have invested in the company Smart games group, owned by the Saudi Arabian government. Since then, extensive restructuring has been carried out, incl. cancellation of at least 27 projects. The goal was to reduce the huge debt. However, the set limit will likely not be reached by the end of March.
