Paradox Interactive was originally supposed to present the sequel to the popular construction strategy Prison Architect on March 26th. Developers from Double Eleven studio, but on social networks they announced, that we will have to wait a little longer for the game. The new date was specific scheduled for May 7, when Prison Architect 2 is released on PC (Steam), as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. According to the authors, they need more time for final optimization and bug fixes.
It represents the main novelty of the second part compared to the 2015 original. transition to full 3D display, which goes hand in hand with a much improved audiovisual site. On the contrary, everything still remains in the field of the establishment, which remains committed to the prison theme and the management of the correctional institution associated with it. The benefits of the 3D conversion are described in the attached dev diary below.
