Thousands of determined people with swords and shields kill each other and rain arrows on them. It would seem like such a classic medieval battle, full of blood and screams. However, a jeep appears on the battlefield, frantically runs into part of the unit, a guy gets out of it and starts firing from modern weapons. Combat and strategic sandbox Kingmakers In short, it’s done differently and intends to offer unconventional medieval combat for single and multiplayer.
In the game, you are a time traveler from the future, armed with modern firearms and vehicles, to fight medieval knights, change the course of the war and prevent a future apocalypse. At your disposal are assault rifles, shotguns, grenade launchers, armored vehicles and even helicopters. On top of all this, you will command your own army of knights, archers and cavalry through real time strategic mode, which also offers base construction. You can play alone or collaborate with friends in co-op.
The developers from the Redemption Road Games studio have been working on the game for the last five years and were inspired by Deep Rock Galactic or World War Z. Judging by the video, the impressions are reminiscent of mowing down hordes of zombies in Left 4 Dead, or errors in Helldivers 2. Either way, Kingmakers will be coming to Steam early this year as part of Early Access. Play tests and demos are planned. Do you think a new hit is waiting for us?
