Polish Team Bluber answered through the mouth of his president Peter Babien to the mixed reception of the new trailer for the remake of the famous horror film Silent Hill 2. Many fans felt that the trailer was too action-oriented, featured “stiff” animation, and did not capture the feel of the original 2001 game. Even the developers themselves agree with the criticism.
“I wrote the negative comments myself,” Babieno said jokingly, as reported by Polish Eurogamer, also for the Polish channel Inwestyc.tv, from which the quoted video was removed. “Seriously, we are not responsible for the marketing of the game. Our partner (Konami, editor’s note) takes full responsibility for this (…) This trailer definitely does not reflect the spirit of the game,” he continued.
“It’s not the spirit of what came before and what we’re creating now. We are trying to fully reflect the romantic vision of the game that debuted twenty-two years ago. We think that when players see real gameplay, a real game, they will judge it completely differently,” Babieno explained.
He believes that the graphics themselves will ultimately convince the player. According to him, the team is taking full advantage of the capabilities of Unreal Engine 5. The goal of the game is PC And PlayStation 5 and while it’s supposed to be in the final stages of development, we don’t even know an approximate release date yet.
