Today marks the sixth anniversary of the release of the medieval role-playing game. Kingdom Come: Deliverance on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. On this occasion, the Prague studio Warhorse announced that The game has crossed the six million sales mark. Unfortunately, we are still waiting for the announcement of the second part, on which, according to our information, intensive work is underway.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance was already supported by players from all over the world in 2014, when Kickstarter raised £1.1 million. Daniel Vavra said that he was unable to find a publisher who would pay for the development, since the game does not have dragons or magic.
By the summer of 2022, it had sold five million units across all platforms. The success of the Czech game from the workshop of Daniel Vavre and Martin Klíma is evidenced by the acquisition. Warhorse Studios was acquired in February 2019 by publishing company Koch Media (now Plaion), part of the Embracer Group. The company paid 41.8 million euros (1.1 billion crowns) for Warhorse. Embracer Group owns Gearbox Software, Deep Silver, 3D Realms, 4A Games, Saber Interactive, the Brno studio Ashborne Games (Last Train Home) or the Slovak Nine Rocks Games, authors of the hunting simulator Way of the Hunter.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance will be released early this year Nintendo Switch. This version is answered by the studio Saber Interactive and will not disappear in the game Czech dub, created by fans. For now it is only available on PC. Apparently, the game will not be released on PS4 and Xbox One.
