A new update to the console system has entered beta testing PlayStation 5. Thanks to this, we learned what news will be available to all players around the world in the coming weeks.
Sony focuses on updating increase speaker volume DualSense and DualSense Edge wireless controllers. The audio should sound clearer and this should improve the gaming experience as you’ll be able to hear sounds from the game or chat better. Of course, for games that use this option. However, the company warns that after installing the update, the sound from the driver may seem too loud to you. You can turn off the sound in the settings.
We’ll stick with the DualSense for now. Sony uses artificial intelligence to background noise suppression, be it a button press, in-game sounds coming from the TV, or conversations around the player. The new AI module should reduce these unwanted sounds so that the microphone does not release them.
The next step is improved screen sharing. Function Share screen will now allow viewers to move cursors, draw lines, or select emojis. Naturally, the presenter will see all this. This way others can help him, for example, solve a puzzle, defeat a boss, or find something. If you have a friend who would abuse this feature, you can disable it.
The last new feature introduced in this beta firmware is Controlling PS5 Power LED Brightness. There are three options to choose from: dim, medium and bright (default). Unfortunately, there is no option to disable it.
