Dark and Darker has already managed to attract significant attention during closed testing. The medieval multiplayer battle royale game was originally scheduled to release on Steam’s Early Access program last April. But instead they were the authors of the game accused by Nexon from stolen assets. This was followed by the removal of the game from Steam and a lawsuit between the developers from the Ironmace Games studio and the mentioned publisher Nexon.
One of the developers recently posted on Discord (via Eurogamer) that the creators of Dark and Darker at least they won the first phase of the argument. The court rejected a preliminary measure that would have removed the game from Steam. The reason cited is the lack of evidence to support Nexon’s claim of copyright infringement. So Dark and Darker could theoretically return to Steam soon. Let’s see how Nexon reacts to the situation.
