Veterans of Volition open a new studio

Studio veterans willwhich is behind the Saints Row series and was shut down by parent company Embracer last year, has formed a new team. Werewolf Games is based in Champaign, USA and will focus on helping other teams develop AAA games. According to developer AJ Nelson’s LinkedIn profile, the studio is already involved in developing a game from Xbox Game Studios.

“It’s a pleasure to reunite with former colleagues and a great opportunity to help others affected by the industry crisis,” writes the team leader. Matt Madigan.

Along with the former Volition, the new studio will also include creative director Brian Traficanto or chief producer Rob Loftus. “The industry continues to be challenging and I am fortunate to be able to reunite with my colleagues and turn the page on a new adventure. I hope that there will be more groups like us and better times will come,” writes the latter.
