PulluP Entertainment will focus on developing three divisions. Focus Entertainment Publishing will be responsible for publishing first-party games for PC and consoles, while Dotemu and The Arcade Crew will focus on publishing retro games under a yet-to-be-announced title. Seven development studios are responsible for developing their own games. They are among them Blackmill, Karopul research, Deck 13, Dovetail, Game studio Stremon And Twelve tenths. The changes follow the appointment of Geoffroy Sardin as the new deputy chief executive.
2023 was a year of ups and downs for Focus. In the third quarter of 2023/24, sales reached €8.9 million, down an incredible 84% on the same period last year. But it’s not because Focus games suddenly stopped selling. Only there was no big hit, unlike A Plague Tale: Requiem, Atomic Heart, Atlas Fallen and Aliens: Dark Descent last year. The third quarter 23/24 figures maintained the old titles, which recorded €29.5 million for the third quarter 23/24. This is 45% more than last year.
This year looks promising. Focus/PulluP will start Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden (February 13), Expeditions: MudRunner game (5.3.) or Warhammer 40,000: Space Marines 2 (9/9).
The company was founded in 1996 and was called Focus Home Interactive until 2021. The company then changed its name to Focus Entertainment.
