Developers from the Swedish studio MachineGames presented the expected Indiana Jones and the Big Circle last week at the Developer Direct event. In addition to the gameplay preview, we also got a look inside the studio itself. Attentive viewers noticed in one of the short videos a board on which, among other things, Quake series logo and AKE 6 lettering. It’s clear that fans immediately started talking about the fact that this could be a target reference and bait for a full-fledged sixth part of this famous brand.

While MachineGames has in recent years talked about a new Wolfenstein in addition to Indiana Jones, which would be a sequel to The New Order and The New Colossus, in terms of the studio’s history, a new Quake would also make sense. Previously, part of the development team was engaged in extensions of improved versions of the first and second parts. Specifically, it was about Series Measuring Machine for the first part a “Call of the Machine” expansion for Quake II.

With multiple projects likely underway, it’s possible that MachineGames is developing a new Quak. collaborates with iD Software studio. However, at this point, these are just estimates and speculations that we likely won’t hear back from Bethesda for some time. But such indications are rarely accidental.
