Baldur’s Gate 3 is a game full of stories and characters to experience them with. I would not be afraid to call some of them downright core members of the party. However, according to one of the players, even these heroes can be skipped. Yes, you read that right. If you approach the game “right”, it is possible that Astarion or Gale will never join your party. While you have the ability to actively force him to stay out of the game with the help of a wizard, in Astarion’s case it’s probably more or less random, but it has a pretty brutal effect on his fate.
By being the only one, you will be able to thwart the plans of his “father”, the vampire Cazador, who is actively searching for his child. Without your intervention, Astarion will likely be found and kidnapped, after which he will become a participant in a terrifying ritual. Not like a living creature, but like a zombie. In short, without your guidance, nothing good awaits him, like many other inhabitants of the Baldur’s Gate 3 universe, although he is almost impossible not to notice.
