At the end of the year, Valve, as usual, boasted several ratings in which it highlighted the most successful games on Steam this year. It should be noted that, in addition to recently released games, older free-to-play games were also included in the lists in some categories. Additionally, as in previous years, only reviews of the most successful games were published in no particular order. Therefore, we can only guess about the specific winner.

This list features the best-selling games on Steam by total gross revenue for 2023, and also includes older games. The order of the games mentioned was determined randomly, as was the case with the other categories.
