Doug Cockle, who voiced Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher video game series, is one of the most prominent figures in the industry. In fact, there are few people who have never been lucky enough to hear his voice. In a recent interview with IGN, the actor spoke about his perception of AI and especially its involvement in game development. According to him, it is almost inevitable that artificial intelligence will be actively involved in game development. However, he doesn’t think this is necessarily a bad thing. But he urges actors to create conditions that make it impossible for their voices to be abused.

Cockle sees the risk of AI precisely in its misuse. For example, they fear that someone will abuse Geralt’s voice to spread racist messages or misinformation. But he considers the main problem to be people who can use AI for their own purposes. Cockle’s fears are justified. However, it is doubtful that this genie can be effectively controlled once released.
