The high price for Ubisoft’s Avatar didn’t last long. The game is discounted in less than two weeks. Stores all over the world, including Czech and Slovak ones, offer significant discounts.
Avatar: Pandora’s Frontiers As the first game from Ubisoft at a higher price, it was released on 07/12/2023 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. In US stores, boxed versions of the console are now selling for $50 instead of $70. In domestic stores, the price varies: Xzone is sold for 1349 CZK, and, for example, JRC – for 1499 CZK. The original price is CZK 1,899, the discount is valid until January 7, 2024 or until sold out.
Where the price has not changed is in digital stores. Either way, the early discount suggests the first-person action game, set after the events of the first Avatar movie, isn’t selling as well as expected. Alternatively, Ubisoft is trying to make an impression during the Christmas period.
It was originally supposed to be the first game from Ubisoft to cost a higher price. Skull and Bones, but the pirate adventure was postponed several times. New release in February.
