Not long ago we informed you about the release of a demo version of the upcoming fighting game. Tekken 8. It’s already live on PS5 and will be available on Xbox Series X/S and PC on December 21st. But we got this opportunity thanks to Bandai Namco and distribution companies Senega will visit Warsaw, Poland, where we played not only the basic versus mode, but also part of the campaign and the new Arcade Quest mode. A fan-favorite mode from the third installment also returns. That’s not all. Tekken 8 has so much more to offerbut gradually.
Tekken is a long-running Japanese fighting game series that differs from competitors Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter in its controls and attack combo options. The story of the Mishima family at first glance seems ordinary, but it is a real drama, complemented by elements of Japanese fantasy about demons or light absurdity. A Velociraptor wearing boxing gloves is not unusual. While many fans of the series enjoy the story, as evidenced by the success of the recent anime Tekken: Bloodline, the main attraction has always been the aggressive combat system.
While playing I was surprised at how much the combat had improved. Both hardcore fans and complete newbies will be delighted.. I’ll start with the beginners first. Especially for them, the game offers aptly named: Special style. You can turn it on at any time during the game by pressing L1. Suddenly you don’t have to combine the attack button and arrow buttons for advanced attacks, you just have to press the same button three times. By not having to pause the game, you’ll be able to get out of sticky situations faster, especially if you’re playing the character for the first time. So the pause is more for learning more complex attacks that you can use to punctuate the Special Style.
