It’s here again. After the first trailer Grand Craft Auto VI Below is a press release that mentions a release for current generation consoles only. Unfortunately, Rockstar has not changed and is going to the expected gangster action. will be released in 2025 first on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. There is no mention of a PC version at all. Rockstar did the same with GTA V and GTA IV. GTA 5 came out on PC 18 months apart, GTA 4 took six months, and Red Dead Redemption 2 took a year and a few days.
If anyone was waiting for GTA 6 on PS4 and Xbox One, then the game will not appear on these two old consoles at all. This is not surprising given the end of GTA Online development on these platforms.
“Grand Theft Auto VI continues our commitment to pushing the boundaries of what is possible to create immersive storytelling experiences.” said Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar Games. “We are excited to share this new vision with players around the world.”
The press release further confirms action in the state of Leonidas, where the neon-lit streets of Vice City and other cities are located. This is supposed to be the biggest and most exciting evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet.
We were originally supposed to see the first trailer only today at three o’clock in the afternoon. But it was previously leaked in a low-quality version, which forced Rockstar to release the official version in 4K resolution. This isn’t the first leak; last year, a hacker published a slew of early gameplay footage and other information.
Senior gameplay animator Javier Altman sighed that the leak deprived him of the opportunity to watch people’s reactions to the trailer premiere live with his colleagues and collaborators.
