Capcom confirms another remake of the Resident Evil series – INDIAN

Remakes of old parts Resident Evil horror series in modern form are successful. Players and journalists are happy with the remakes of the second, third and fourth parts, sales are growing, so it is not surprising that Capcom will continue this strategy.

At the PlayStation Partner Awards 2023 event in Singapore, Yasuhiro Anpo himself, the director of the Resident Evil 4 remake, confirmed the Japanese mutation to IGN, but did not reveal which parts will be improved.

“Yes,” – Anpo answered when asked if Capcom wants to continue making Resident Evil remakes. “We’ve done three remakes so far and they’ve all been very well received.” he added, talking about how glad he is that these old games can be played by modern players. “We want to keep creating more” he added.

If Capcom is going to go chronological, the next one is already in place. Resident Evil 5. But, as we know, many fans want Resident Evil Code: Veronica. Capcom even recently asked fans what part they would like to see next in a modern form. Code: Veronica is an important part of the main characters’ story; Claire, Chris and Wesker. Or a Japanese company can surprise and make remake number one, which received a remake in 2002, but why couldn’t it have been improved upon again. Additionally, Resident Evil will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2026.

Let’s summarize again. The Resident Evil 2 remake was released in January 2019 and sold 13.1 million units. A remake of Resident Evil 3 followed in April 2020, selling 8 million copies. The remake of Resident Evil 4 was released in March of this year and became the best-selling part of the series. He quickly managed to sell 5 million units.
