New PlayStation 5 console model goes on sale in Europe. Sony initially said the PS5 Slim would be available in the US starting in November and would be available worldwide in the following months.
Earlier sales are reported, for example, in Italy, where a smaller and thinner PlayStation 5 model will go on sale tomorrow, November 24. The recommended retail price for the new PS5 with Ultra HD Blu-ray drive is €549.99. The digital edition costs €449.99. The mechanics can be purchased additionally, as well as a larger silver stand for horizontal position of the console. It costs 30 euros.
The new PlayStation 5 comes with both versions. 1TB SSD storage storage (instead of 825 GB). It will gradually replace older models. Sony says the console is more than 30% smaller, 18% thinner, and the digital edition without an optical Blu-ray drive is 24% thinner.
