Finnish studio Dommark leaves after 14 years Harry Krueger. Most recently, he led the development of PlayStation 5 exclusives. Returnable, which impressed with its development and complex gameplay. He also worked on Nex Machina, Resogun and Outland.
Harry Kruger said goodbye to his colleagues and told fans that the team is preparing a new interesting project. At the same time, he is full of optimism and knows that Housemarque’s brightest chapter is yet to come. In other words, future games should be even better.
In turn, Housemarque CEO Ilari Kuittinen thanked Kruger for his influence and vision. He helped change the arcade genre. and provided a vantage point for future projects that would take its fundamentals and improve upon them. Unfortunately, we don’t know why Kruger is leaving or where he’s going.
We already know that the new product from Housemarque will not be a continuation of Returnal. Instead we will see completely new brands, which will use the ideas and story systems of Returnal. At the beginning of last year, the project was at an early stage of development.
Sony bought the Finnish company in the summer of 2021. Returnal was released in April 2021 on PS5 and in February of this year on PC.
