The Polish company 11 bit studios has grown a lot over the past few years and does not hide the fact that it is working on several projects at once. At the moment, thanks to news for investors, we know about three. One of them is, of course, the highly anticipated Frostpunk 2 strategy game, announced last August. In addition, the so-called Project 8 is being created in the studio, which should be a third-person shooter with a strong storyline and at the same time the most ambitious game of this Polish team. We only saw the teaser last December and don’t even know the official title.
In any case, 11-bit studios don’t skimp on teasers, and we saw another one yesterday. We don’t hear voices on the video for about 30 seconds, only the inscription appears on the screen “Some promises will stay with you forever”. Although it is snowing in the background, the developers have indicated on the label and on social media that the teaser does not refer to Frostpunk 2. But why then? Project 8 was very different from the first teaser, so only one remained – Project Dolly.
From last year’s investor report, we know that this is a new IP, a unique concept and a well-known genre for developers from 11 bit studios. Up to 40 people should work on the game, and most importantly, most of the team consists of the developers of This War of Mine, so it is quite possible that something can expect us in this regard.
Of course, we cannot rule out the fact that this is a project with completely different developers behind it, and 11-bit studios will only publish it, but this is a less likely option, given how much space is given to the Polish team in the teaser. Perhaps soon we will find out what kind of game is actually hiding behind it.
