Northgard: The Unknown Land – Leaders strengthen individual clans and more

The first expansion we’ll be playing today is Chieftains. As the name of this expansion suggests, it brings clan leaders into the game world, who have the opportunity to take up arms and fight for the interests of their people. Each warrior is unique. They are unique both in appearance and in the abilities with which they intend to achieve unknown goals. In total, you are offered seven characters. You’ll get one warrior per clan, and in the case of a group with a bear logo, you’ll also get a hairy Kaiju beauty with a body equipped with plates and claws that can turn enemies into meatballs.

All warriors fight in Northgard: Lands Unknown. Leaders have special abilities that distinguish them from ordinary soldiers and their competitors from other clans. The head of the Viper Brave clan, Signy, has the ability to throw a scorched earth token onto the territory during battle, which vacuums up the enemy’s space. During the final phase of the fight, the leader of the Raven group, Liv, can roll the dice and thus achieve a new result that should be respected. Each warlord is one point stronger than a regular unit in battle, but its consumption is the same as that of a regular soldier. Finally, there is a new map that each camp can work with.Review of the Chieftains and Wilderness expansion for the board game Northgard: The Unknown Northgard The Unknown Chieftain 2

For example, the Raven Clan has an upgrade that allows them to use wood, runestones, or food to power up units as they move in battle, giving them a wider range of options. Men representing the Wolf Tribe’s interests may, before assessing, remove one building from the area they are attacking, which may provide them with fewer casualties, erase a production structure from the surface, or reduce the enemy’s defenses by destroying a gate so that it is destroyed. It’s easier to defeat him and drive him out of his own territory. Overall, I think Northgard: Uncharted Lands – Chieftains is a very important addition that greatly strengthens the clans as a whole.

Northgard: Uncharted Lands – Wilderness Brings More Undead to Ragnarok

The most basic mode of Northgard: The Unknown Land does not contain monsters, but you can still add some monstrous enemies from the video game through a module that deals with the presence of undead and beasts. Northgard: Uncharted Lands – Wilderness develops the idea of this module, expanding the range of enemies that your warriors can face while exploring the game world. Overall, with this expansion you can look forward to a number of new capabilities that threaten your people as well as the territories you control in different ways.

When, for example, a ghost warrior appears on your territory, the buildings you have on it automatically do not work. Therefore, they do not help you in the fight and do not even produce any raw materials. The mighty Eldtur then destroy your territory and Hvedrung triggers Ragnarok, summoning monsters onto the battlefield to help him with the end of the world. Each monster requires a different amount of power to defeat. You can then get the perk of your choice for all of them and then discard their card, preventing them from potentially returning. Beginners are a pretty tough nut to crack. For example, I found the Wyvern roaming the countryside causing trouble wherever it went to be very rude.

In addition to new monsters, Northgard: Uncharted Lands – Wilderness also enriches the base game with new map parts. Each newly added part works with previously unknown elements. Swamps destroy your forces, ruins offer benefits from unsealed areas, and geysers are easier to recruit. There is a lot of news regarding Northgard: The Unknown – Wilderness, and I think almost all of it is positive.

The additions will help Northgard: The Unknown Lands go even further.

Both expansions develop Northgard: The Uncharted Lands in different ways. Chiefs are working to expand the idea of tribes, and Monsters introduces new monsters to the game world, as well as additional squares that can be placed on the map to gain points to fight for. In both cases, additional content can be considered something that decently complements the overall gameplay. If you have a basic version of this strategy game at home, then Northgard: The Unknown Land – Chieftains and Wilderness is definitely worth considering, as it will bring you closer to the format presented in the game template.
