Although more than 3 years have passed since the release of the action-adventure film The Last of Us Part II, in recent months there have been speculations that it has not yet said its last word. In October, we wrote about interesting information from the LinkedIn network, where one of the developers apparently accidentally revealed the creation of a remaster of the second part. And now another confirmation has come. PlayStation Game Size Twitter account, which often leaks information from the PS database these days, such as the size of future games. disclosedthat a mention of the native PS5 version of TLOU 2 appeared in the database.
The truth is that PS5 gamers saw some improvements as early as May 2021, when the game received 60 frames per second and faster loading times, but otherwise it remained exactly the same, still running in backwards compatibility mode. From the native PS5 version, we could expect graphical improvements or perhaps higher resolution, as well as support for haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, for example. At the same time, it could serve as the basis for a potential PC version.
Since the game is already in the database, it’s likely that we won’t have to wait long. Unless Sony decides to release the extended version “just because,” an announcement can be expected at The Game Awards event on December 8th at 1:30 a.m. CET.
