The Polish studio Fool’s Theory, which, among other things, is working on a remake of the first “The Witcher”, is slowly completing its isometric, detective and partly fantasy RPG The Thaumaturge, which takes place in an alternative Warsaw at the beginning of the last century. We were able to try it out at Gamescom in August (impressions here), and the demo has also been available several times in recent months. Initially, we were supposed to see the game on PC on December 5, but the developers today they announcedthat in the end we will have to wait a little longer.
In a statement on social media, they simply stated that they needed more time to complete development in order for the game to meet the standards that players expect. So the new release date is set to February 20th next year and again applies to PC only. The game will also be released on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles, but it will be released later, we do not know when exactly.
In the meantime, you can add The Thaumaturge to your Steam wishlist.
The Thaumaturge will be released on PC on February 20, 2024, with versions coming later for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. We will take this opportunity to bring more polish and quality to the final game. pic.twitter.com/6Qa9zzkVnC
