Studio 397 has announced a new release date for long-delayed racing game Le Mans Ultimate, which was originally scheduled to release later this year. New publication date was scheduled for February 20 next year, when the game is due to release on PC (Steam). But in the future, the developers are planning versions for consoles. The team behind the game is the one that recently released the popular racing simulator rFactor 2.
It is the fans of authentically rendered racing that should find their way in the case of Le Mans Ultimate, which in terms of content will rely on licensed World Endurance Championship related content (WEC), culminating in the traditional 24 Hours of Le Mans. The real championship has recently enjoyed increased interest from car companies and spectators, which could help the game itself.
