One of the first games of the coming year will be Alone in the dark, a comprehensive remake of the 1992 survival horror film. Today we get to see an eight-minute new trailer. We see the two main characters arrive at the mansion. Dercheto Estatea home for the mentally ill, where something very strange is happening.
Some footage is taken from the recently released gameplay video. And I have to reiterate that Alone in the Dark looks beautiful and could definitely be a pleasant surprise for 2024. Alan Wake 2 from Remedy this year raised the bar very high, but the horror atmosphere in this novel could also be trimmed down.
He wrote the story “Alone in the Dark.” Mikael Hedberg (SOMA, Amnesia: The Dark Descent), and the monsters he created Guy David, a longtime collaborator of Guillermo del Toro. The pair of heroes are private detective Edward Carnby (played by David Harbor – Stranger Things) and Emily Hartwood (Jodie Comer – Free Guy), whose uncle Jeremy has disappeared in this crazy place.
“You will encounter strange inhabitants, nightmarish worlds, dangerous monsters, and ultimately unravel the conspiracies of a growing evil. At the intersection of reality, mystery and madness, an adventure awaits you that will make you question what you believe deep inside. Who can you trust, what will you believe and what will you do next?” The description of the game beckons.
Alone in the Dark will be released on January 16, 2024 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
