Swedish company CarsGames We will create more games in the future. The company that created the modern shooter Wolfenstein for The New Order is about to expand with a second studio. It will be located in northern Sweden in the city of Sundsvall, will start operating next year and will be fully staffed from 2025.
MachineGames is currently preparing two projects: event Indiana Jones with an original story and a second, yet to be confirmed game. She’s probably the one Wolfenstein 3. Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus was released back in 2017, and since then we’ve only seen the less popular spin-off Wolfenstein: Youngblood and the VR version of Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot in 2019.
“As game developers, we are always looking for new talent. Opening an additional office in northern Sweden gives us the opportunity to recruit from the large pool of experienced developers located in the region who are unable to relocate to our headquarters in Uppsala.” said Jerk Gustafsson, co-founder and CEO of MachineGames.
MachineGames is owned by publishing company Bethesda Softworks and its parent company Zenimax Media, which is owned by Microsoft as of March 2021.
