“Sad day at Bungie,” Destiny boss writes after firing – INDIAN

Bungie employees learned of the layoffs yesterday. Their CEO Pete Parsons wrote on social media that today is a sad day. Recently, information has been circulating on the Internet that Bungie should have stopped working with Michael Salvati, a music veteran with over 25 years in the studio. It is currently unclear whether Salvatori left voluntarily or was fired.

“We say goodbye to colleagues who have had a significant impact on our studio. These exceptional people’s contributions to our games and Bungie culture have been tremendous, and they will remain a part of Bungie into the future.” Parsons wrote.

“They are truly talented people. If you have any openings, I highly recommend each of them.” he added. Unfortunately, we don’t know how many people at Bungie have lost their jobs. Community manager Liana Ruppert is one of those fired. For example, alex_frostwolf used this information and commented on Parsons’ post.

“Your community manager would have told you not to post this, you would have known if you hadn’t fired her. But it’s a shame” he wrote DestinyNostaLgi sarcastically added that these kind words will surely pay off in the released album.

Forbes journalist Paul Tassi indicated about the consequences of layoffs. The fired employees suffer immediately, the studio pays for the loss of good people, the remaining employees suffer from the unexpected dismissal of friends, and the community loses faith in Destiny, future projects, and cooperation with Sony.
