French company Ubisoft today revealed the hardware requirements for the upcoming game Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, which takes place in the world of the same name from the famous series.

Before we get into the specifications themselves, the developers provide some information. For example, the game actively uses ray tracingpromised for global illumination, reflections and shadows. Also mentioned is support for wide-angle monitors, detailed settings and AMD Eyefinity and Nvidia Surrond technologies, and there will also be a test to check the performance of your game.

The very positive news is that Avatar will offer all three major upscaling technologies, i.e. DLSS from Nvidia, FSR from AMD and XeSS from Intel.. FSR will be implemented in version 3, i.e. with option image generationDLSS 3 Frame Generation probably won’t be in the game.

As for the table itself, it should be prepared. 90 GB free space on your own solid state drive. The HDD is again not mentioned at all and does not appear to have official support, like a number of other games in recent months. Next you will need 16 GB RAMoperating system Windows 10 or 11 and API support DirectX 12 (and not 12 Ultimate, as in Alan Wake 2).

The minimum requirements for low settings, 1080p with FSR quality (up from 720p) at 30fps, indicate an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor or an Intel Core i7-8700K. As for the graphics card, you should prepare at least an RX 5700 from AMD, a GTX 1070 from Nvidia, or an Arc A750 from Intel. For the latter graphics, the Resizable BAR feature is especially mentioned, which must be enabled in the BIOS, otherwise the Intel graphics processor will perform very poorly (this applies to all games in general).

The recommended settings again aim for 1080p resolution with FSR quality, but with high settings and 60fps. The processor listed is the Ryzen 5 5600X or Core i5-11600K. Then the RX 6700 XT or RTX 3060 Ti video card.

If you want to enjoy the game at ultra settings in 4K (but with FSR Balanced, i.e. upscaled from 1253p) and 60 FPS, you will need an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D or Intel Core i7-12700K processor. The mentioned video cards are almost top-end, namely the RX 7900 XTX and RTX 4080.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will release on December 7th for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
