Today our review of the highly anticipated Survival Horror Alan Wake 2 was published. And although the game releases tomorrow, its journey is far from over. The developers have already revealed interesting information about future plans in the reviewer’s instructions (some of which they have officially announced in the meantime).
In terms of free content, you’ll find a New Game+ mode called Final Draft. In it you will keep all the unlocked weapons and upgrades from the base game. This mode also features a new Nightmare and Alternate History difficulty with 6 new manuscript pages and several new cutscenes. NG+ will be released in about a month, but we will know the exact release date later. A photo mode is also being prepared, but we don’t even know the approximate release window for it yet.
If you purchased the Deluxe Edition or purchased the expansion pack additionally, there are two more story DLCs waiting for you. Until now, we only knew their names: Night Springs and Lake House, but now the developers have revealed some details.
“Night Springs”, as the title suggests, will introduce us to the series “Night Springs”, which will receive new episodes in which we will dive directly into. So, we get to play as several famous characters from the world of Alan Wake and experience their stories. The DLC is scheduled for release in late spring 2024.
The Lake House is the name of a facility near Cauldron Lake that was created by the FBC and is run by Agent Kieran Estevez, and is the location we’ll be looking for in the DLC. However, here we should play as Saga and Alan again, their stories should collide again. This expansion doesn’t even have a release window yet.
New Game+ will appear after launch.
