Developers Cloud Imperium Games have been working on the hugely ambitious and massive MMO Star Citizen for over 11 years now, but its release is still around the corner. But the studio at the same time developing Squadron 42.which has the same technological base and universe as Star Citizen.
However, Squadron 42 will focus solely on the single-player game, which will consist of a story campaign. In that a number of movie stars appear such as Mark Hamill, Gary Oldman, Henry Cavill or Gillian Anderson. The developers recently released a 26-minute gameplay trailer, which you can watch in the preview above. You can see action, logic and plot passages in it.
At the same time we found out that there is a game done in terms of content and game features. Now developers can start tuning individual game components and further optimization. Despite achieving this important milestone, it remains difficult at this time to estimate when we can expect No. 42 Squadron to arrive. However, it is obvious that after long development the game is finally beginning to take on real dimensions and, at least judging by the attached gameplay footage, it looks quite good.
