This may come as a surprise to some players with older PC builds. Finnish studio Remedy published full system requirements for Alan Wake 2. The second part of the survival horror action game will be quite difficult.
To play Alan Wake 2 at 1080p 60fps, you’ll need a graphics card. GeForce PTX 3070 or AMD RX 6700XT (8 GB of video memory), 16 GB of RAM and 90 GB of free space on SSD. To improve performance, it is also recommended to use DLSS/FSR2.
On the opposite side of the spectrum, in ultra-requirements with ray tracing (60 FPS and 2160p), there is a GeForce RTX 4080 (16 GB of video memory) and 16 GB of RAM. More details in the picture below.
If your computer is not powerful enough, there is another option. GeForce now. Nvidia previously confirmed that Alan Wake 2 will be supported on the cloud streaming service on release day.
Alan Wake 2 will release on October 27, 2023 for PC (Epic Games Store), Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 digital only. The game will open at 6 am.
