Sony has patented a new version of the DualSense wireless controller for the PlayStation 5, which has a built-in port for charging wireless headphones.
The headphone jack is located below (or in place of) the touchpad and is connected to the USB cable that currently charges the controller. It would charge like this along with the headphones.
The patent is not finalized, which may indicate that the Japanese company has abandoned this plan. However, a DualSense with a slot for storing chargers would be nice. complemented by Inzone Buds headphones. Sony unveiled them last week and they will be sold in white and black variants. It boasts 360-degree spatial audio, allowing you to hear which direction your opponent is coming from and at what distance. By analyzing not only the shape of the outer ear, but also the acoustic properties of the ear canal, the headphones provide more accurate surround sound.
We found out in April of this year. about the PlayStation patent for a controller that can change the temperature. Read more here.
There’s still the question of battery life, which is already worse than the original DualSense due to adaptive triggers and haptic feedback. These patents will put even more strain on the battery.
