Legendary The exorcist givesblah is rightfully one of the scariest films of all time. Exactly fifty years after its creation, its new chapter is about to hit theaters. The devil never sleeps.
History of the new Exorcist began in Haiti, where photographer Victor (Academy Award nominee Leslie Odom Jr.) lost his pregnant wife in a catastrophic earthquake twelve years ago. Fortunately, they managed to save their newborn daughter Angela, whom Victor has been taking excellent care of since then. That’s why he went completely off the rails when Angela didn’t come home from school one day. She disappeared along with her classmate Katherine in a country forest, and desperate parents, police, soldiers and volunteers search in vain for them. On the third day a miracle happens. Disoriented and exhausted, the girls find themselves on a small farm, far from where they disappeared. However, boundless joy soon gives way to growing anxiety. After a thorough medical examination, both Angela and Catherine are found to be completely healthy, but their behavior suggests that they took with them more than just an unpleasant memory of their experience. An experienced exorcist will understand at first glance that both girls are possessed. But Victor is a pragmatist who does not believe in either hell or heaven until he experiences it himself. But then it may already be too late. For all.
Connection with the original Devil Exorcist portrayed in the film by Oscar-winning actress Ellen Burstyn, who in the original film played a mother trying to save her daughter with the help of a professional exorcist. Now he is trying to pass on the acquired experience to Victor for the exciting finale of the film. This isn’t the only way director David Gordon Green tries to pay homage to the original film. “We didn’t want to make a horror film full of computer tricks. We adhere to reality as much as possible, the maximum number of tricks is created right in the camera. It worked great then, and it could work great now.” the creator promises.
