Bethesda Softworks has had its fair share of problems in recent years, but perhaps none as serious as Redfall from the creators of Dishonored and Prey at Arkane Studios. At the beginning of May this year we received a largely broken, unfinished, unoriginal and most importantly boring single-player and cooperative shooter, which both critics and players did not like very much. Perhaps so bad that PlayStation 5 owners would eventually be happy that their console version had to be scrapped forever after Bethesda was bought out by Microsoft, just like Bethesda Game Studios’ space RPG Starfield and the rhythmic madness of Tango Gameworks . Hi-Phi RUSH.
Even after the release the situation did not improve. One major patch was released in June/June, and support for the game stopped for a long time.. This has caused the number of active players to drop significantly over these few months, e.g. in Steam statistics you can often see dozens, and sometimes just a few users who, for some reason, still launch Redfall every now and then. And we have a feeling things aren’t much better with Epic Games Launcher and Xbox Series X|S. Although the game is available on Game Pass, until now it was not playable at 60 frames per second.
