With the release of the spy story expansion Phantom Freedom One long stage of work on CD Projekt RED, which was initially presented differently in the Polish studio, has ended. However, less than three years later Cyberpunk 2077 a much better game and finally works well on consoles too. The company even revealed how much it spent on fixing the game and how much it costs to develop one add-on.
It’s not often that a company reveals its budget. However, since The Witcher, CD Projekt RED has taken a different path. Perhaps it still pays attention to the quality of physical editions and does not include anti-piracy protection in its games. The development of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty cost 275 million zlotys (approximately $62.8 million). Another 95 million zlotys ($21.7 million) was spent on marketing. In total, the budget settled on 370 million zlotys, which is $84.5 million.
