Kalypso Media has announced a new part of the Commandos strategy series, which flourished at the turn of the millennium. They are prized among fans of the genre. especially the first two parts from 1998 and 2001. It was the second part that received an unsuccessful remaster in 2020, which did not greatly help the brand’s reputation.
The recently announced title called Commando: Origins however, it should represent a true return of the famous brand to our gaming devices. This will be a part newly created from scratch, the development of which was entrusted to the German studio Claymore Game. The authors propose an imaginary return to the origins of the series, which should manifest itself in an emphasis on important aspects of tactical strategies, led by stealth.
The developers remained faithful to the old works in terms of setting, thanks to which players again travel during World War II. Also noteworthy is the stated diversity of the environment in individual missions, in which you will go to the African desert and the Arctic Circle.
Commando: Origins will be released in 2024 on PC (Steam) and PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. The game will also be available on Xbox/PC Game Pass on release day. You can watch the premiere trailer in the preview above.
