For the second time this year, I have the honor of reviewing a World War I horror game. Amnesia The Bunker is a great game that only raised my expectations for Ad Infinitum. The game, which looked great in the trailer, stood out with interesting enemy designs, and the small development team wasn’t afraid to release it. ABOUT move for four months, when earlier this year he admitted there was still room for improvement. From the entire Ad Infinitum project directly you can feel the love of the developers and big planswhat they wanted to achieve. This game was truly worth it. And in some ways it’s worth it. I’d call it this year’s most ambitious horror film, but probably for different reasons than you might expect…
Ad Infinitum is an action-adventure game with strong elements of psychological horror. It’s a largely linear experience in which you take on the role of Paul, a young German soldier during the First World War. Not only will you walk through his eyes trenches on the eastern frontin which you will witness the terrifying reality of war, but also seemingly abandoned family home, which hides nightmares at the level of family relationships. If in a field hospital you have to face the consequences of military gases and inadequate medical care, then at the place of Paul’s birth you will meet parents who hate each other and a brother whom no one wanted to let go, but also he did not welcome the return with joy…In other words, you will experience what war does to both the people in it and those around you.
