It’s been almost a year since we wrote about the intense shooter Dread Hunter. Since then, an independent Prague studio of two people Trickster art worked on the game and is reintroducing it in a short video ahead of its Early Access release.
Dreadhunter invites you fast and intense battle. You have to fight your way through hordes of deadly monsters and defeat tough bosses. Luckily, you’ll be wearing a high-tech mech suit to hunt down the monsters. But it won’t be easy. The combat system alternates sharply between ranged and melee combat.. You will have to constantly be on the move, because the monsters are fast and deadly.
“All story campaign environments are generated uniquely every time you enter them. At the same time, you can adjust the difficulty of the game by gradually increasing the difficulty levels.” says the press release.
Developers treat weapons as special abilities, they can be improved by adding individual pieces of armor. On top of that, there are actual special abilities, so you can create your own interesting variations with all of this and improve them with ability trees.
Dreadhunter will be released on Steam Early Access on October 18 this year at a price of 34.99 euros (approx. 855 CZK). It will include the first story act (4 planned) with 12 missions and around 40 items to equip your mech. Includes procedurally generated dungeons where you can hone your demon hunter skills.
“We’d like to add a lot more content to the game, and community feedback will help the game evolve over the next 12 months of Early Access. We expect the full version next year, we will further clarify the specific details.” the authors write.
