In our country, Gothic is one of the games that most players are very sentimental about because, in short, it often belongs to the games that they were allowed to grow up with. Therefore, the announcement of Gothic 1 Remake made many people extremely excited, but they liked the demo version presented a little less, which was very different from what players associated with this game. Therefore, the community was quite critical, and lead game director Reinhard Pollis addressed his criticism to DualShockers magazine. In the interview, he practically pointed out that the demo was made in such a way as to provoke a reaction from fans, so that a number of inaccuracies were simply created intentionally to get feedback.
It’s an interesting strategy, but judging by the reactions on Steam, it’s the right one, because it really stirred up the calm waters around the Gothic 1 Remake demo. However, the creators claim that aside from this controversial aspect, the story and overall game world should be faithful to what the original Gothic was. The factions inhabiting this universe will do the same. A new feature will be improved AI for all residents of the colony. What can definitely be considered interesting is that the combat system in some aspects should be close to Kingdom Come: Deliverance or the action movie Chivalry. The Gothic 1 remake does not yet have an exact release date. The game is expected to release on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S sometime in 2024.
With a larger, more detailed world and a completely new prologue, the gothic remake looks very nice. https://t.co/1dUkKNrFbZ
