The end of the State of Play event was dedicated to the second part of the Final Fantasy VII remake saga. Square Enix presented a roughly three-minute preview that focused on Sephiropt, the main villain of the first game. In addition, we got a closer look at the world itself, its exploration and combat.
One way or another, the main information was the release date, which is set for February 29, 2024. The game will be exclusive to PlayStation 5 for three months. It will be available both separately and as a “Twin Pack” with the first part in the Integgrade version.
In a subsequent interview with the developers, we learned, for example, that compared to the first part of the remake, we will have new abilities in battles, an ability tree, an open world, mini-games and many other new features. The developers promise up to 100 hours of content.
