In the “penultimate” part you saw: 9 collector’s editions that you will regret buying.

And if you haven’t seen this, you should correct this error very quickly. But since you liked the worst thing that game studios released and called it a collector’s edition, and you wanted the exact opposite, that is, the best collectibles, we decided to meet you halfway.

Today we will look at not only the rarest collectibles that will blow your mind with their price, but also the most interesting, the most exaggerated, or simply cool enough to deserve a place in our TOP selection of the best collector’s editions.

Let’s start with something fantasy. And what could be more fantastic than a world that can be considered king of all fantasies. We are talking here about a journey to Middle-earth, and specifically to the plains of not only Mordor in the Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War series. You probably remember this series; the second part was released not so long ago. Despite the non-canonical take on the story, it was a pretty good game that certainly did justice to the world of J. R. R. Tolkien. That is, except for microtransactions. Oh god, why did there have to be loot boxes? This minor controversy completely overshadowed one of those the coolest collector’s editions, which we could see on the gaming stage. In addition to stickers, a canvas bag, a collection of lithographs and a beautiful steel book, the publication contained luxurious figurine of Tar-Goroth the Balrog fighting the dragon Karnan.

This massive figure measures over 30cm, and although it is made of plastic, there is no denying that it looks simple and thick. The massive figurine is not without solid details, and the bronze hue was a collector’s item. And thanks to the plastic, you didn’t even have to worry about the figurine breaking.

Even though the Mithril Edition retailed for 8,000 crowns, it’s the type of collectible that just about anyone would want for their favorite game.

Having this at home, we might even be able to forgive them for the slight problem with microtransactions. After all, the game in the final was not bad at all, and the collector was not bad at all.
