“We started this process at the end of July. [certifikace] and in mid-August we received disappointing results. It was then that we realized that we had more work to do to meet the requirements than we expected,” the producer writes on the Ubisoft blog. Mark Rubin.

Ubisoft wants to apply for certification again in the next two weeks after working on a fix for the game. If it gets it, XDefiant could be released in September (instead of the originally planned August). Sony and Microsoft may also provide conditional certification that takes into account fixes made in the day one patch. But then Ubisoft will have to release a day one patch, and the release will be postponed to October.

“Not being afraid to show millions of people an unfinished game with all its bugs is not normal. (…) As for when we will release the game, the real answer will be: As soon as possible. And when we have more details, we will let you know,” Rubin adds.
