Technical analysis portal Digital Foundry has published a half-hour video detailing the technical status and optimization of Bethesda’s sci-fi RPG Starfield, which released last week. Digital Foundry editors focused on especially in the PC versionwhich is complemented in some aspects by comparing it with the Xbox Series X/S version.
From the point of view of optimization itself, it is worth paying attention to the not entirely optimal performance on Nvidia cards. Additionally, Digital Foundry’s analysis focused on, for example, the quality of the DLSS technology that was added to the game as a form of community modification. This is also interesting recording time comparison, whose excessive length has been criticized in a number of reviews. In this aspect, the PC version using a modern NVMe SSD drive is noticeably better than the console version.
