In Pyramido you will become one of four architects.
Pharaoh Midas’s father was a bit of a thug, so he built a pyramid that isn’t worth much. His son decided he wanted something that would not only eclipse his father, but also provide a challenge for future generations. Therefore, he chose four builders who, as part of the Pyramid competition he invented, must create pyramids studded with precious stones that should attract the eye even from afar. So, the goal of the game is clear. In short, you have to build a four-story structure so that it is as impressive as possible. More precisely, each floor has its own. The overall rating is calculated for each part of the building you build here.
The base floor consists of ten parts, which are offered to you here. You can build them in a 4 x 5 rectangle or 5 x 4 blocks. It’s really up to you. The blocks themselves offer you a mixture of two of the six colors, or a single block containing only one of them. As with the basic build, the overall build is entirely up to you. The parts can be assembled without thinking, but this is definitely not the path to victory. The most effective way to deal with the pieces that fate brings into your hands is at the forefront here.
You never know which three pieces will fall from the four piles into the quarry, which is a place where you always have the option on your turn to choose one piece, which you then also place in your building. Sometimes fate is on your side and your opponents will pass you one good block after another in their turns. But things don’t always go as you expect. In short, sometimes luck turns its back on even the luckiest. But how do you put the pieces together? And, of course, so that the colors match each other as much as possible. You get points for connecting surfaces as efficiently as possible, but this is not entirely accurate.
Surfaces are nice on their own, but to be able to surround them you need to spice up their appearance a little, and that’s what the Mark Domino action is meant to do, which always follows after you assign a block to your building. To mark, you use a specific gem that matches one of the two symbols placed on the block. If you don’t have one, you automatically skip this step. A certain token can only be used once on a floor, so if you use it on one part of another, it will remain unmarked and therefore also not be scored for scoring. Therefore, it is important to combine the individual colors as best as possible to get the most out of the diamonds placed on them.

What’s interesting is the ability to capitalize on weaker symbols to score a bonus point for the least numerous of them. If you approach this wisely, you can also make a decent profit from this idea. Then the concept of gender needs to be actively worked on. When building additional floors, you always count part of what you have already laid into your rating, that is, you assume that you can build a pyramid in the Pyramid so that it correctly completes itself. The space is getting smaller and therefore the pressure on the players is constantly increasing. The last floor will probably take you the most, because it can be the point that will bring you a decent amount of points, or you will lose them because of it.
If by chance, when building a floor in the Pyramid, it occurs to you that you would like to connect seemingly unrelated positions separated by one point, there is such an option. There are twelve cover tokens that can be used in this way. The problem is that you can’t get them back, so by taking this step you may be making your future a little more difficult. This is an insidious element, but it’s definitely not bad, quite the opposite. This gives you more tactical options.

Pyramido is a game that may impress you with its graphics at first glance, but that’s not the only thing it has to offer. Its main strength is its accessibility, coupled with the fact that if you really want it, it can provide you with a relatively complete experience. It’s basically about how much you want to think while playing and how you want to torment your opponents. It is suitable for both young and old players, making it ideal for the autumn and winter evenings that are quickly approaching.
