Skull and Bones loses third creative director

“Five years ago, Elizabeth Pellen came to the Singapore branch of Ubisoft with the task of restarting the creative direction of Skull and Bones. According to the publisher, changes are common at this stage of development.

Kotaku sources say otherwise — Pellen, the project’s third creative director since 2018, was supposed to stay in his post until at least the end of the year. Instead, he moves to headquarters in Paris.

Skull and Bones first revealed at E3 2017, they were due out next year. Instead, they have experienced at least one full reboot and several changes in outlook. After many delays, a closed beta was announced with the hope that the game would be released in the foreseeable future, but the console version of the test was canceled at the last minute.
